Our little cabin

One of the the things we did during the "eleven day blur" was move into a cute little cabin.  Located on the Gallatin River, surrounded by cottonwood trees, and still just minutes from Bozeman, our treehouse (as Titus calls it) has been awesome.  The housing market in Bozeman is difficult and Aaron looked for months before we decided on this rental.  The boys love it because they have a loft to sleep in and a creek off the front porch to get muddy in.  They even decided to go swimming one crisp, fall afternoon…didn't stay in long!  The location is absolutely idyllic and we love our little getaway in the woods.
Throwing rocks is every
little boy's mandate!
The day after Aaron left, a good friend took us to Rocky Creek Farm to play in the hay and pick out some punkins (another Titus word).  They loved the tree swings, pigs, goats, and apple cider.  We had some lunch and then worked our way through a hay maze, played in the corn, rode a little train and jumped on the bungees at another local farm.  Cotton candy topped off our afternoon of fall fun.  It was a good distraction and I really appreciated Judy that day for making us concentrate on something other than how much we missed Aaron.
