The boys and I have really enjoyed living on the Gallatin. This little owl was resting under a neighbor's deck and then flew out along the riverbed. Luke came crashing into our cabin with shouts of "An owl…an owl" so I ran out and snapped a quick pic. The boys were really excited…why lie…so was I!! I've never been that close to an owl before :)
Luke and Titus have discovered the lure of adventures. On this particular evening they loaded a backpack with water, some snacks, a flashlight, whistles & bandaids and took off. No one warned me that little boys become independent so soon...I couldn't help but take their picture (much to Titus' dismay) as they walked away–notice Tubby and Waddles along for the ride?
Aaron is doing well in Uzbekistan. Thanks for thinking of him. He's meeting great people and we're hoping doors continue to open so we're able to go as a family soon. We Skyped the other day and he was in the hotel lobby (a good internet connection is elusive at times) so I was able to meet some of the people he's talked about. It was pretty cool!
