Spring

Spring in Montana taunts me every year–it appears for a moment and then hides again under heavy, wet blankets of snow. Yesterday felt like spring.  We walked down by the river in the morning and the boys played outside several times during the day.  Needless to say, our front porch railing was covered with wet boots, muddy pants and sandy socks.  I went to bed briefly wondering if I should bring them in and ultimately decided, no, they would be fine.  This morning I looked out the window to discover they were covered in three inches of thick, dense snow.  And now there are even wetter, muddier boots drying in front of the heater in our bathroom.  Ah, spring.
